[Journey]
I'm a product designer with a unique journey - an Aeronautical engineer turned designer. As an engineer, I worked on Rolls-Royce aero engines as a component design engineer, which involved 3D modeling of components & assemblies, defining manufacturing processes, and writing technical documents for the designed parts. Perhaps more accurately, I'm an Artist turned designer. From a young age, I was immersed in art, exploring various mediums with a curious mind. This passion naturally evolved into a graphic and visual design interest, leading me to master tools like Photoshop and Illustrator. I began my design career by taking on branding and marketing collateral design projects, which deepened my love for design.
While discovering my true calling, I enrolled in the Master's degree program at the National Institute of Design, where I decided to pursue a design career full-time. Since then, there has been no looking back. From painting on canvas, 3D modeling of aero engine components, and creating digital graphics to thoughtfully considering how a user perceives a button in a UI, my journey has been an enlightening experience.
Through this evolution, I've come to appreciate design's intricate details and emotional impact, whether it's a painting, a digital interface, or a product feature. My background in engineering and art has uniquely equipped me to blend technical skills with creative insights, resulting in thoughtful and people/user-centered designs.
Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.
